The failure is due to the update of the drivers of the motherboard video and it is very common for it to occur. With this you should have solved your problem. Once you open it, locate the file "gta_sa.set" and delete it. I tested it once so far so hoping it goes well moving forward.To solve this flaw, you must go to the documents folder and look for another that is called "GTA San Andreas User Files". I tested the game and it ran for more that 10 mins, I was able to increase my resolution, and the frame rate stays the same. This happened multiple times before installing this mod you listed in the link. The game would run for about 3-5 mins and then crash. I mainly just wanted the game to look good but it always seem like the Par I have installed and removed GTA so many time because it seem like I couldn't install a certain amount of mods. Mods shouldn't be an issue right ? WRONG. because the specs, and the power I see the computer have, I said what the heck and installed My fav game of all time.
I am not running GTA SA on native windows, I am using a MacBook Pro 2020 (M1 Chip - 8gb) Running Windows through Parallels. I decided to sign in to give this thread a bump for persons who may be experiencing issues. I haven't tried it yet, but I will as soon as I get home. I had actually just given up on running San Andreas with my collection of acquired beautification mods until I stumbled across this mod. If I would have found one, I would have learned about this patch a long time ago. I'm creating this post because I could not find 1 documented case online where this patch helped somebody with this issue or is even talked about for that matter. Unfortunately I cannot link it because I downloaded hundreds of files all at once so I cannot remember where I downloaded the "LargeAddress" GTA San Andreas patch from. No more pop-in, no more unloading to LOD, no more crashing after 5-10 minutes of travel with LOTS of HD textures.
exe file patch on my computer for San Andreas called "LargeAddress". I was about to just give up on San Andreas all together.
No matter which stream memory fix I used, no matter WHAT I did. After installing a LOT of different HD texture packs on top of each other (like the Beautification project for example) & driving or flying around for about 10 minutes the game was causing the world to unload to LOD then crash 100% of the time.
